WELCOME TIFFANY!

We are thrilled to announce a new member of our team; Tiffany Bragdell has joined us as our in house trainer and as well as bringing along Trevelyan Farm's young horses and ponies, Tiffany will be available for lessons and training. Tiffany has experience with young horses, preparing them for performance testing and young horse classes. You can see from her Bio below, she has her USDF Bronze Medal and is well on her way to attaining her Silver. Call or email to learn more of our full and partial training/board options.

Tiffany Bragdell: Bio

Originally from the mid-west, Tiffany’s, early riding experiences include Pony Club and competing in the hunter/jumper circuit. While she always had basic dressage lessons growing up, it was not until high school when she became more serious with the discipline and began taking lessons during monthly clinics with Rosalind Kinstler. From 1999-2001, Tiffany was a working student for Roz, spending summers training in Michigan and winters in Florida. During that time she developed her former jumper to PSG/I-1 and also had the opportunity to school other horses in Roz’s training program. This was a valuable learning experience that helped solidify the training process. When Tiffany returned to her home in Kansas, she took in horses for training and began teaching lessons. Accomplishments of her students include earning USDF Bronze Medals and awards at regional championships. In 2003, she was invited to the inaugural Young Rider Graduate Program held in Gladstone, N.J.

From 2004-2007, she was the young horse trainer for Rolling Stone Farm in PA. During that time, she prepared numerous mares for breed inspections and performance tests with many achieving Elite Mare Candidate status. A highlight at RSF was successfully presenting stallions, including Shakespeare RSF, for the GOV and Hanoverian licensing. She also competed the young sales horses at the lower level dressage tests, as well as in material classes at Dressage at Devon, giving them positive show experiences at the start of their careers. During the time at Rolling Stone Farm, she worked primarily with Scott Hassler but also rode in clinics with Jim Koford. In 2005, she was invited to the first Young Dressage Horse Trainers Symposium.

With her own horses, highlights include a 6th place finish at Dressage at Devon’s FEI 5 Year Old Test for the North American Breeders Futurity, in 2005. With the same horse, she earned her USDF Bronze medal as well as scores toward the silver medal. In 2011, with her 6 year old Hanoverian gelding whom she also started, they successfully competed at training and first level consistently winning with scores in the upper 60’s and low 70’s. The year culminated with a 5th place finish at the USDF Region 1 Championships at First Level. Tiffany currently trains with Christopher Hickey as well as her husband, Michael Bragdell, of Hilltop Farm.

Congratulations to Shannen Sullivan on the purchase of Wicked Willoughbie. Below is an update from Shannen....

"Hi! I just wanted to give you an update on Willoughbie. He is just an awesome pony. I am so in love with him. We went show jumping and cross country schooling today (his first field trip off the farm) and.................. shocker, he was amazing!!! He is so talented and I am having a ball riding and working with him. Whenever he goes out, everyone comments on how adorable and handsome he is!!!!! Thanks so much Lesley."

5/7 & 5/8 2011 Morven Park, VA. - Forrest Gund & Cara Klothe

Figi and Cara had a very successful weekend away showing at Morven Park,VA. With high scores reaching 72% they won their First Level Class and received their first qualifying scores this year for Regional Championship.

Riversedge, MD. 5/5/11

Another outstanding training session at Riversedge with Scott Hassler. Forrest Gund (Figi) and Cara Klothe showed much improvement since their last meeting and Figi is referred to there as "the super pony". They came away with their homework assignment for the next month. Good job!

Blue Goose Schooling Show 4/2/11

Forrest Gund (Figi) and Cara braved the cold and damp weather conditions to attend their first show of the season. Entered in First Level Test 2 and 3 they were placed 1st and 2nd respectively and Figi the ever ready show girl, looked liked she was having a blast. Oh ... such fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hf_x1wnlrs

Update on Forrest Nymph (2004 mare)

Farrah started competing in Eventing in October of 2010. She has been out three times at Beginner Novice, finishing 2nd, 1st and 3rd! In February, we moved up to Novice where she went clean stadium and XC but with some time faults at XC moved from 3rd to 6th place. Next time out we'll go for the time! She usually finishes on her dressage score and has never had a stop at a xc or stadium fence! We have shown a USEA Novice dressage test at a schooling show and received only 29.5 penalty points, now we need to get that score at a rated show!

Farrah loves eventing and going to hunter paces. She definitely has a lot of potential. I will ride her to training level, but that is where I think my courage would top out. Her trainer (Lauren DeNeve) thinks she'd have no problem with Preliminary and we have schooled some combinations, but too scary for me personally!
