The National Dressage Pony Cup will hold its inaugural show on June 28th and 29th, 2008 at Paxton Farm in Cincinnati Ohio and Trevelyan Farm is proud to be a sponsor.

The show was created by a group of pony owners in order to promote ponies, their breeders and riders in Dressage competition in the United States. Ponies of all breeds are invited to attend the USDF/USEF show held in conjunction with Paxton Farms Summer Classic. The ponies will be officially measured at the show unless they already have a permanent measurement card. Thanks to generous donations and sponsorships, the show will be able to award some fantastic prizes and recognize the achievements of the winning ponies. There are also rider awards for youth and adult riders, high point breed specific awards and even a special award for the oldest pony competing. Classes will be held on Saturday and Sunday, the pony cup consists of one class per day per level, Intro through FEI. Ponies may compete in more than one level and/or with more than one rider. We are planning an Award Ceremony after the classes are completed on Sunday, complete with photographer and videographer. For more information visit the show website at www.dressageponycup.com.

Kokomo Daydream
1986 - 2007

A final farewell to our foundation broodmare...Koko pictured here with her daughter Charisma. Koko was also dam to Sebastian and Wicked Elegance.

FORREST FLAME a three star stallion!

We are thrilled to announce that in 2007 Forrest Flame was award three stars in the ISR/Oldenburg Star Award Program. The first star was for his scoring at the 100 day Stallion Test held at Paxton Farm, Ohio (he currently holds the highest score for a pony to ever have gone through the testing). The second is for producing 10 or more Premium Foals within that Registry and the third is for his performance in sport (currently competing and winning in dressage at 4th Level Open). This is quite an achievement for any young stallion...not to mention a pony. Well done Forrest!

CONGRATULATIONS ARMANI & TRACIE RICHARDSON...
2007 NEDA YEAR END DRESSAGE SPORT HORSE BREEDING CHAMPION FOR THE 2 YEAR OLD STALLIONS & GELDINGS....WAY TO GO!

RESULTS FROM THE KWPN OF NORTH AMERICA 2007 KEURING - FINAL FIVE

Armani made it in the top five again! This is a very special young horse and we are thrilled to see Judges are consistently placing Armani in the top of the best KWPN horses in the country. Just to remind you, Armani is out of our Ster mare Venezia and sired by Rousseau. Bred by us and purchased by Tracie Richardson at only 3 weeks of age. Congratulations Trace.

Sidenote: Check out our En Utero sales...we have another Rousseau foal arriving April 2008 out of our very special Ster mare named Sioux (Provisional keur).

JEST JOYOUS AND KERRI HEALY
Ocktoberfest Hunter Trials at Olde Hope Farms, MD 10/7/07

This was their first Hunter Trials...Joyous and Kerri put in a fabulous dressage test in the morning, tying them in 1st place. They went clear in the stadium jumping and retained their lead. Cross country was in the afternoon, unfortunately they had one stop out of what was otherwise a terrific ride and were happy to come home with a 6th place ribbon in the Intro Horse Division...especially as this was their first time out at a Hunter Trials. (photos to come)

Results from ISR/Oldenburg Inspections at Silverwood Farm September 14th 2007

Congratulations to breeder, Sheila O'Keefe and Tranquility Farm

Forrest Elf (Big Elf) by Forrest Flame out of Midnight Rose scored for conformation and type: 8.0, movement: 8.3, overall Impression: 8.1 giving him Premium Foal Award. This little guy sadly lost his Dam 3 days before the inspection...stood perfectly for bathing and braiding, loaded on the trailer practically by himself and was a star!

Wicked Elf (Little Elf) by Wicked Court Jester out of Harlequin scored for conformation and type: 7.8, movement: 7.8, Overall Impression: 8.0 giving him an overall score of 7.8. Wicked Elf was in quite a growth stage and was extremely butt high at his inspection.

Both of these outstanding colts are for sale. You can see more of "The Elves" at: www.tranquilityfarm.com

Results from the ISR/Oldenburg Inspection at Pennock Point, FL - Oct. 4th 2007

Hearty Congratulations to Sally Moehring and Waverly!

This result absolutely made my day...Waverly was presented for approval into one of the Mare Books by owner, Sally Moehring. Waverly scored an outstanding 107 points, easily putting her into the Premium Mare Book and in addition, earning Waverly her first Star in the ISR/Oldenburg Award Program.
Waverly was bred by us and is sired by Wicked Courtjester and out of our foundation broodmare, Zauberelle. Waverly follows her full sister, Winslette who remarkably earned the same score of 107 points in June this year when presented and also made Premium Mare.

This is a stunning mare ...congratulations, Sally.

DRESSAGE AT DEVON 2007

Congratulations to Forrest's Wicked CourteZen and new owner Grace Vance from SC. CourteZen came away with 1st place in the ISR Sport Pony Class and in addition was an absolute delight to take and show, staying relaxed through out and appearing to thoroughly enjoy all the excitement that DAD has to offer.

Congratulations goes to 2 yr old Winsome Courtjester and owner Cory Gregory on placing 1st in the ASPR Class against tough competition including 2 older stallions. Winsome Courtjester was bred by Laurie Ryan from MO and is sired by Wicked Courtjester (as if you couldn't guess from the name).

ISR/OLDENBURG INSPECTIONS - CHESTNUT LAWN, VA
September 2007

Congratulations goes to MaryAnn McCaffrey from NY with her outstanding colt, Kilmore Ultan. Out of her lovely mare Poco Josey Slipper and sired by Forrest Flame, Ultan scored 8.3, 8.1, 8.3with an overall score of 8.2 and receiving Premium Foal Award. Look out in 2008 for a full sibling of Kilmore Ultan to arrive in the spring.

We thought this fabulous photo of 4 yr old Warwick Court Jester deserved a spot on our News Page - featured on our For Sale by Breeders page, Warwick is a serious FEI prospect suitable for a young or small rider. For more information go to our For Sale by Breeders' page and/or contact his breeder/owner Teresa Schmehl on 609 268 7405.

ISR/OLDENBURG INSPECTIONS – HILLTOP FARM – 8/25/08

This inspection had to held on one of the hottest days ever with heat and humidity reaching a index of 105…but our ponies were still able to represent themselves well.   We are extremely proud to announce not only, did we bring home four Premium Awards, Wrocketeer out of Rockette and sired by Wicked Courtjester was announced High Scoring Champion of the day with 8.5  out of a total of 29 foals presented AND it was strongly suggested that we keep him as a stallion prospect and bring him back for the approvals in three years.

The results are as follows:

Freida (Forrest Flame/Nieuwmoeds Patrick) scored 7.8.  We knew going into the inspections Freida was at a disadvantage with having been weaned early and her Dam, Maud not being able to attend the inspections along side Freida.  A pretty good score none the less, but her day will come where we will see her shine.

Wicked Crème Delight (Wicked Courtjester/Merrie Moscan) scored 8.0 Premium Award. This filly is out of Jacodi’s Bo’s Bonnie and was purchased prior to the inspections by Dianna Orona from Kansas.  If there had been a cuteness award, this filly’s score would have been off the chart!  Congratulations Dianna.

Waye Special (Wicked Courtjester/Sandro) scored 8.1 Premium Award.  Waye is out of Special Occasion and is the fourth in the line of this very successful combination.

Forrest’s Wicked CourteZan (Forrest Fame/Wicked Courtjester) scored 8.3 Premium Award.  CourteZan is out of Wicked Z and we are extremely pleased with this filly being that it is one of the few times we have been able to cross with our own stallions.  CourteZan scored an impression 8.5 for movement and was purchased by Grace Vance from S. Carolina prior to the inspections.  Congratulations Grace.

Wrocketeer (Wicked Courtjester/Reno) scored 8.5 Premium Award and High Scoring Champion Award.  Wrocketeer is the first foal out of Rockette and surprised us all.  He scored 8.5’s all across the board for conformation, movement and overall impression and the Inspector love him, stressing that he should be kept a colt and that he wanted to see him back in three years for the stallion approval.

At the same inspections, breeder and dear friend Phyllis Hamilton presented her Forrest Flame filly, Firebird.   This filly is out of a stunning Wicked Courtjester mare named Watermark.   Firebird scored 8.4 Premium Award and came home with Reserve Champion.  The Inspector’s comments were that he couldn’t fault her conformation in anyway.  Congratulations to Phyllis and what an incredible achievement for her first foal.

Firebird is for sale and will be posted on our For Sale by Breeders page shortly.  Watermark is back in foal to Forrest Flame for 2008.

GO NEW FORESTS!

We would like to congratulate the outstanding success of two New Forest ponies at the 2007 Pony Finals!

Enchanted Forest (Sulaatik's Fireball X Patroleander), an imported Dutch New Forest gelding ridden by Lillie Keenan, was the 2007 Wildhorsefeathers/USEF Pony Hunter Finals Medium and Grand Pony Hunter Champion.

Magic BB (Igor), an imported Dutch New Forest gelding ridden by Elizabeth Boone, was the 2007 Adequan/USEF National Pony Jumper Individual Champion.

Just a side note:  Patroleander is by Oleander who just happens to be the same the sire of our very own Wicked Courtjester.

NEW ARRIVAL

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new mare to add to our warmblood breeding program. Sioux is a 8 yr old Dutch Ster mare sired by Zeoliet keur/G.Ramiro Z Pref and out of Louraine Ster by Goodtimes/Nimmerdor. Keep watch to see who we breed her to this spring.

FORREST FLAME makes his debut at Third Level 11/06

We were late getting our entries in for the South East Dressage Championships held at Clarcona, Florida and all they could give us was two Third level, Test 3 classes. Jill and I thought, well we'll give it a go and see how he does. Not expecting any great scores or placings but I guess the little guy had other plans....Forrest and Jill won the class on the Saturday with a 66% and on Sunday he came out ready and willing and again won the class with a 68% both qualifying scores.

Forrest and Jill were High Scoring Third Level Champions for the weekend - Go Jill - Go Forrest!!!

FORREST FLAME AND JILL HARDT QUALIFY FOR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BOTH FIRST AND SECOND LEVEL DRESSAGE

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jill for all her hard work and dedication in the training, showing and management of Forrest. As many of you know Forrest stayed in Florida during the breeding season and Jill very kindly took care of shuttling him back and forth from the collection facility, kept his training sessions going and even was able to get him out to a couple of clinics with Tom Noone and Ann Gribbons. We recognize how fortunate we are to have Jill as our trainer and more importantly as a dear friend and
we wish them all the luck in the world for the up coming Fall/Winter show season.

Jill and Forrest competed in both First and Second Level in dressage with the following results:

RESULTS FROM ISR/OLDENBURG REGISTRY BREED INSPECTIONS AUG.26TH 2007

Firstly let me say this was an outstanding group of foals presented, probably the best I've seen under one roof, with an unusual amount of Premium Awards given (and rightly so-in my opinion).

Loved that there were foals by great sires, including Ideal, Ruffian, Coconut Grove, Nobel Champion, Goodtimes, Scimitar, Innkeeper,Bugatti, Royal Appearance, Royal Prince, Contucci, Riverman, Sempatico, Rampal, Parabol, Cordini, Corlando, Blue Blood, Caruso and of course Wicked Courtjester and Forrest Flame I apologize if I missed some.

The most thrilling news is that our filly, Fedora, sired by Forrest Flame scored the highest of all the foals, colts and fillies.

Fedora was given a score of 8.6, 8.5 & 8.5 , was awarded Premium and High Scoring FoalChampion Ribbon. We knew she was hitting the inspections at a good stage of development, but truthfully, having only seen her run and play in the pasture, had no idea she could move the way she did.

We also presented our new mare Rockette for approval. She was given a terrific score of 103 points and entered into the Main Mare book.

Wasabi showed well considering he was standing considerably higher behind and had just entered into the awkward stage. His score was a respectable 7.8.

RESULTS FROM FAIRHILL BREED SHOW 8/19/06

Congratulations to Figment and Suzy Stafford on placing 1st in the ASPR Class at Fairhill Breed Show, MD., and for placing 4th in the Open Yearling Colts/geldings Class. Figment is out of Quest and sired by Forrest Flame.

ISR/Oldenburg Breed Inspections at Hilltop Farm - 7/21/07

On behalf of clients, we presented two mares for inspection and approval...

Paragon a Swedish Warmblood mare owned by Christine Louden of NJ was approved in the Main Mare Book with a score of 99 points. Paragon is in foal to Hilltop Farm's Contucci for a 2007 foal.

Home bred Wicked Z, 4 yr old sport Pony mare owned by Barb Young of CO was approved in the Main Mare Book of the Sport Pony Division with a fantastic score of 103 points. "Z" is in foal to Forrest Flame for 2007 foal.

We also presented our own Forrest Gund, a Forrest Flame yearling filly for identification and branding purposes.

Wicked Z and Forrest Gund

FEI Dressage Trainer Jill Hardt Clinic at Trevelyan Farm

Friday June 23rd, 2006 was the premiere of our first ever three-day clinic with FEI dressage trainer Jill Hardt of Plant City, Florida. Jill, who boasts both USDF bronze and silver medals, is an FEI trainer and thriving competitor. Jill currently works to campaign her own horses in the show ring as well as that of several clients’ including Trevelyan Farm’s own New Forest Pony stallion Forrest Flame. Accredited to Jill, Forrest has been announcing his presence with many great success and winnings against the “big horses.” For over 20 years, she has been using imagery and her in-depth knowledge to help riders develop harmony, feel, and an overall partnership with their mounts. With a bachelor’s degree in education, Jill is able to employ a variety of teaching methods to better suite each individual rider.

In attendance at the clinic were riders Christine Mohn riding Wild by Design, a young thoroughbred stallion, Jennifer Eckel riding Winnipeg, a 4th level Westphalian gelding, and Amy Schierenbeck riding Trevelyan Farm-bred Savannah, a beautiful 4 year old mare by Santa Cruz. All three riders worked endlessly towards improvement throughout the weekend, and it was wonderful to see Savannah doing so well under saddle.

In addition, four of our own young ponies in training were added to the roster: Maude, a 6 year old imported New Forest pony mare, and 3 year old New Forest Pony gelding Whizbang (Wicked Courtjester x Hoppenhof’s Jennifer) were ridden by Jessica Feakins. Furthermore, trainer Stacy Wendkos endured lessons on 6 year old New Forest/TB mare Wicked Ellegance ( Wicked Courtjester x Kokomo Daydream), 4 year old New Forest/TB mare Jest Joyous (Wicked Courtjeter x Nicely Naskra), and her own young thouroughbred mount, Auggie. We could not have been happier at the performance and endurance of our young ponies, as their trainability and athleticism increased by day.

Throughout the three day clinic, Jill took all the riders back to basics, working on establishing and maintaining rhythm, relaxation, regularity of gaits, elasticity and suppleness. Furthermore, Jill tweaked each rider’s position into a more correct and effective posture. This consequently had an immediate and pleasing affect on the horses.

Overall, each horse and rider progressed noticeably throughout the three days, and Jill was also able to assign exercises and direction for further training. The clinic turned out to be a success for all, and each horse and rider finished the weekend tired and happy.

WICKED COURTJESTER APPROVED WESER-EMS

We are delighted to report that WICKED COURTJESTER follows Forrest Flame in the approval and licensing process with the Weser-Ems German Riding Pony Registry. We presented Wicked Courtjester July 8th at High Point Hanoverians, Chestertown, MD. Judges introduced him as the "Renowned New Forest Pony Wicked Courtjester"!!! It was my pleasure to able to present him at the young age of 17 years. It never fails to amaze me the dedicated following this pony has and I know, being the ever ready showman, he appreciates it greatly (as we do also).

Wicked will be added to the Stallion Roster for 2007 and the foals out of mares approved Weser-Ems, who are bred to him, will be eligible for full registration papers.

We are pleased to introduce a new mare named Rockette into our broodmare band. Rockette is a 4 year old Oldenburg NA, standing at 15.1h sired by Holsteiner Stallion Reno, whose Grand Sire is Holsteiner Stallion Riverman. Our plans are to breed Rockette to Wicked Courtjester for a 2007 foal that undoubtedly will be able to jump the moon.

Our thanks go to Sagamore Farm and Hilltop Farm in allowing the addition of Rockette to our farm possible.

FORREST FLAME APPROVED WESER-EMS

Forrest Flame attended the inspections at Highlife Farms in Florida, Sunday, June 18th 2006 and was presented to the German Oldenburg Verband for consideration as a pony stallion in their Wesers-Ems Division. We are pleased to announce that he was accepted with terrific scores and comments by the Judges. In particular they praised the "excellent use of hind leg"
This give our breeders yet another registration option with their Forrest foals in addition to the ISR/Oldenburg and ASPR.

Forrest Flame will be on the Wesers-Ems Roster for 2007 and foals out of mares approved will be eligible for full registration.

Suzy Stafford takes the Gold!!!

You must have heard or read about Suzy's huge success at the FEI World Combined Pony Driving Championships at Catton Hall, England, July 13th - 17th but just in case you didn't...

Suzy Stafford driving Cefn Oak Park Bouncer earned the individual gold medal in the singles division. She is one of few US competitors to win individual gold and we say it couldn't have happened to a more well deserving and nicer person!

We are so proud to have Suzy as a friend of Trevelyan and breeder/owner of Figment, an outstanding colt sired by Forrest Flame.

Our sincere best wishes to you Suzy...may this be the first of many ;-)

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
LOOK OUT FLORIDA…FORREST HAS ARRIVED!

We are excited to announce Trevelyan Farm’s young stallion, Forrest Flame will, for the remainder of ‘04 and early part of ‘05 continue his dressage training in Florida with Jill Hardt from Tristan Oaks South, Plant City. Jill has earned her Bronze and Silver Medals with the USDF and we are thrilled and honored that she thinks highly enough of Forrest Flame to campaign him in dressage this winter.

This is what Jill has to say about him…

“What an incredible pony. Forrest gives you more than 14.2 hands of power. His gaits offer scope and strength and his unflappable “let’s get to work” attitude makes training fun every day. A super choice for breeders who are looking for athleticism in a smaller package.” Jill Hardt

Forrest Flame will be available for viewing while at Tristan Oaks South. Please contact Jill directly on 813 757 6340 – email: TristanOaks@aol.com Check back for Jill and Forrest’s show schedule to be posted soon – please take advantage of seeing this fabulous young pony stallion in person while he’s down south.

In addition, Trevelyan Farm’s future plans will be to send our young under saddle FEI dressage pony prospects to Tristan Oaks South for continued training and show experience. Jill will be happy to show any sales ponies standing at the barn – please contact either:

Trevelyan@aol.com or TristanOaks@aol.com for more information.
